Emma Lee is a junior and is entering her fifth year of NCFCA. Throughout her experience in NCFCA, she has competed in and qualified to the Regional Championship in Lincoln Douglas, Team Policy, Apologetics, Digital Presentation, Extemporaneous, Impromptu, and Informative. In her first year as a Team Policy debater, she and her partner earned 1st place at a qualifying tournament.
In addition to competing, she serves on the Region 15 worship team and plays the violin on the Legacy worship team as well.
Through speech and debate, she has learned that Christ gives her the courage to speak boldly and confidently for Him. She has learned to defend her faith while communicating her ideas with clarity and grace.
Outside of NCFCA, Emma enjoys reading the Bible, taking violin lessons, serving on her church's youth string ensemble, and singing in her church's youth choir. She has volunteered with several organizations, including the Orlando Science Center, Second Harvest Food bank, Kidz Fighting Cancer, and VBS at her church. She also hosts weekly Mandarin Chinese conversational practice sessions with her peers.
She is excited for the opportunity to be a servant leader this year. She wants to remember that everything she says is all for the glory of God.
