A note from Denise Carr

It is with great joy that I read each of these “Where Are They Now” updates on our graduated servant leaders.  Creating Legacy was a labor of love for our family, supported by the wonderful Pam and Kaitlyn Johnston, and Esther and Andrew Day.  Without them I would not have been able to handle the demands of starting and running a speech and debate club.  I owe great thanks to Teresa Moon, founder of Communicators for Christ, for her passion and vision for developing young speakers and thinkers, and to the many students and parents who advised, encouraged, and took the time to share the vision of speech and debate with me.  It is my hope that Legacy will always be a place where students can come and feel safe and loved as they develop their gifts and skills, and that they will be stretched and refined by their experiences.  May we all look back on our years in Legacy and see that we developed not just confidence on the public platform, but a Legacy for Christ.
