If you asked Austin what grade he's in, he'd probably give you a blank stare or choke on his drink trying to answer. What he does know, however, is that he is entering his third and last year with NCFCA, eager to return to teach and mentor students of all ages. He has competed and qualified to Regionals in Apologetics, Biblical Presentation, Digital Presentation, Extemporaneous, Impromptu, Informative, Open Interpretation, Oratorical Thematic, Persuasive, and Lincoln-Douglas, advancing to the National Championship in Digital Presentation, Informative, Persuasive, and Lincoln-Douglas debate. He loves interpretation and platform speeches best. Being able to compete and grow not only his own skills, but the skills of others, is one of Austin's favorite parts of NCFCA and Legacy for Christ.
When Austin isn't yapping someone's head off in a suit, he likes to yap people's heads off in casual clothes too, where he will probably mention his hate of AI and complacency. He also likes to go to the Disney parks with his friends, draw, go on runs, cook, and pretend he's good at making music.
In his last year, Austin wants to leave a lasting impression as a caring mentor, a dedicated servant, and a willing leader.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people." Galatians 6:9-10
